H/T for including the slide rule. Just like my first analog calculator. Had to figure out what the LogLog scales were for.
Yeah, that looks like the K+E I used in undergrad engineering school in the late ’60s,
which I got from my dad who used it during architecture school after WWII,
which he bought used.
By grad school in the mid-70s, it was Ti & Hp handhelds and punched-card decks of Fortran.
Started college in ’71 with a Pickett. Coolest thing ever until I learned about Reverse Polish on an HP. All the cool kids thought their TI bangers were great until I showed them how many keystrokes I avoided.
Still have that old Pickett along with a couple others. The kids are gonna love them when they read my will!
DuoDecitrig Log-Log. 16″ long for four sig figure accuracy. Used it in High School, went to electronic calculators As Soon As I could Afford One. Let me note that I spent 4-1/2 years in the AF before I could resume my math classes so by that time HP calculators were coming out. I still have my HP 41-C
