9 THOUGHTS ON “By then, it’ll be somebody else’s problem to fix”
I just want to say one word to you.
Just one word.
– Yes sir.
Are you listening?
– Yes sir, i am.
Horses.
– Exactly how do you mean?
There’s a great future in horses. Think about it. Will you think about it?
– Yes I will.
Enough said. That’s a deal.
I almost wish it would actually happen, just to see Californians try to keep planned-obsolescence cars running long past their expiry date, ala Cuba and 50s cars.
Seeing a Volt with a bunch of lawn-mower batteries in the trunk or a 2020 Mini with the ignition system from a 75 Vega.
Nobody in Cali possesses the mechanical knowledge of Cubans suffering their way through Castro. You’re right on one thing, by 2035, the morons responsible will be gone, and the few people unable to move to saner areas of the country will be left to try to rebuild civilization.
Also, there will follow laws that make gas stations illegal. Better go long on still companies. Since everyone will be eating bugs there should be a surplus of corn.
Win-win.
Unless they put lock-out devices on cars so they won’t start if they’re drunk.
TBH ^1
Bennnnnn!
I’m about as “mechanical” as Kamala Harris but I noticed that my state, Minnesota, is on the list of states that will follow suit with California.
My question is this: In January/February in Minnesota the low temps are in the -15 to -30 range. People have issues keeping a charge in a 12 volt car battery. So, is an electric car going to be easier or harder to start in those temps?
Our former Virginia Governor Blackface Baby Killer Nazi Northam (Piss Be Upon Him) signed a bill in 2021 tying Virginia to California’s emissions regulations via California’s unelected California Air Resources Board.
Well hallefuckinglujah. Unelected bureaucrats turn people’s lives upside down all over the country.
So much for elected government.
“Traffic is bumper to bumper on the inner loop of the Beltway….. McLean, Virginia,” from a Fox News article. And Nazi Northam proposed EVs to cure that.
That’s because Big Guv’s monstrous growth has spilled out of DC boundaries and now reaches from Fredericksburg, Virginia to Frederick and Baltimore, Maryland north and south, and from Annapolis, Maryland to the foot of the Appalachians east to west. Big Guv’s sprawling footprint and ravenous maw is the cause of most of our pollution, financial, crime and quality of living problems in Virginia. EVs will not solve that problem; it will just bring more of the same trying to build grid infrastructure and battery disposal schemes to support them, and move the pollution problem from the car to the generating source, with transmission loss of efficiencies along the way from generator to car charging station.
The sneaky and sad thing is that the Green Weenies want cars to be “fossil fuel free”, but until there is an alternative energy source that powers these charging stations, the “fuel” will continue to be coal, oil and natural gas. These EVs will have a larger net carbon footprint, I suspect, than gas powered cars. Every part of these cars are produced using fossil fuels, not to mention the damage that lithium mining and battery disposal does to the earth.
But those pushing these EVs won’t show the public that, because they are either stupid, ignorant or lifetime pathological liars like Biden and most Dems.
This would be funny, but they are a step ahead of you!! They have already outlawed Natural Gas in new homes in many cities (Berkeley, Santa Cruz, etc.) It is a “burn the boats” scenario – no fall back options.
^^Don’t worry dick, the VA GOP will Hold Hearings!!! and Demand Answers!!!!
Remember the 90s and 00s when they kept talking about getting rid of the personal property tax?
They’re even worse now, so it’ll be round and round the mulberry bush with no pop!.
