Hmmm…..Been hearing a lot about it lately, but I’m still waiting for an example of this “we’re working really hard” thing they refer to so much (“they” being both sides of the aisle). Seems like just another form of mystical self congratulation.
As for the “extreme political violence” reference, I’ll concur with Blake (above), in that it seems to be coming from only one side and appears to be a default setting.
