8 THOUGHTS ON “The Cost of Wokeness”
Someone did a good meme, same as always, keep the land get rid of the indian.
Muy bueno.
I love all the racial healing after taking a black woman off pancake batter.
p.s. They still say: “Same great taste as Aunt Jemima” on the box
You’d think the name “Aunt Jemima” would also have been changed due to the racial stereotypes inherent in the name.
Aunt Jemima was degraded Pearl Milling Company in 2021.
Uncle Ben’s rice is gone, too. Ben is still around, but he’s not an uncle anymore.
We have a 40th anniversary Uncle Ben’s Rice tin canister that originally held about 20 lbs of his rice. We use to hold K-cups since the box of 100 is too big for the coffee station.
Figure it will be worth some $$ to a collector. (Along with some ‘blackface’ tableware we own. IYKYK.)
We have an Aunt Jemima bottle that we fill with Log Cabin syrup or real maple syrup. Silent protest, yes, but a small bit of gratification, none the less.
